It's Not My Cat January 2023

We start the story of "It's Not My Cat" on a wintery day in January, 2023.  Crazy Cat Guy (CCG) across the street had just passed, leaving numerous (!) feral and semi-feral cats wondering why Daddy isn't feeding us anymore?

I got some cat food, and tried to help out.  The cats still had access to the inside of the house, and his sister (Sister) set up automatic feeders and water for them.  Several truckloads of cats captured by Animal Control had already been removed, but there were those that refused to be trapped.

Working with Sister, I identified the ones who might want to bond with me for safety and companionship.  Mama and Boo were the ones Sister was most worried about.

Mama

Boo

I decided that I would try to get these two to stay with me, maybe talk them into adopting me.

Sister said that both cats would sit in CCG's lap and sleep with him.  They were both spayed females she said, and were very sweet cats.

It only took a few days before Mama would come and eat on my porch.

I started singing to her to make her feel more comfortable.  "Mama, wo-wo-wo-woo" from "Bohemian Rhapsody", Queen.  I also sang "Supper Time" from the Charlie Brown movie when I brought the food out.

I decided I was going to try and lure Mama and Boo inside, so I bought a cat box, just in case.  Sister said both cats knew how to use it, so, good investment.

Mama started waiting for me to get off work, though I didn't see Boo.

Stay tuned for the next episode of It's Not My Cat!
